Newly appointed Supreme Court judge ....

Has a few drinks, runs into a cyclist, blows over the limit.

Is she fit to hold this office and pass judgement on others ?   Or was it an aberration and she should be able to continue her (up until now) unblemished career ?

What do we expect of our judiciary ?  That they be perfect people, free from sin ?

Anyone in a position of making the laws, upholding the laws, or passing sentence should be regarded as needing to abide by those laws in the strictest sense. No excuses, no self justifications, no soft treatment.

In his case it was a hit and run which makes him an unfit person.

No one else loses their job because they have been caught drink driving unless their job is driving.

I am sure she will feel the full extent of the law and possibly be more compassionate with those that come before her in future
