Nigella Lawson - Gross Invasion of Privacy

Do you think these pictures of Nigella Lawson should have been published?

I see it as a gross invasion of privacy, and i'm stunned that the photographer felt it more appropriate to take pictures, than to ask her if she was ok.

I don't think they should have been published but do hope they encourage her to kick him out on his butt.  no one deserves this sort of treatment.  he sounds like a jackass

Such is life.

Sometimes what appears to be the obvious turns out to be quite innocent.

That's true Martini, but the question is whether the UK paper should have published the pictures when they were under the assumption it was a case of domestic violence.

I hope the pictures bring the police running to her door and an arrest warrant for him is issued soon.

ninemsn published the photos, too ... they're probably all over the net.  I can't blame the photographer nearly as much as the husband ... it's probably second nature to him/her to get the camera out.  Good news doesn't sell newspapers.

I hope for Nigella, that it was something innocent as martini said. If not, what an awful man to treat her in that way.

I think they should have been published

BUT

The pictures I saw, I don't necessarily think it is 100% domestic violence.  In fact, in one photo she looks pretty turned on (where she has her eyes closed).  Perhaps they have a somewhat kinky relationship?

Why wouldn't they publish them? Nigella and hubby were in a public place. Other pictures of celebrity rows have been published, what makes Nigella so special?

So they were having a fight and he put his hand on her neck. In the picture it doesn't look like he's strangling her or trying to choke her, even thought it looks like an implied threat.

I feel sorry for her she was obviously distressed at having her pictures taken in such a stressful situation.

The press are mongrels.

I don't how you would explain that away as innocent. He is pinching her nose in one of those photos, she looks shocked and upset when leaving.

With the introduction of camera phones, I think no-one is safe from having their photo taken when out in public.. right or wrong to publish these sort of photos, it is going to happen more often now..as there will most likely always be someone around with a camera phone to  catch an out of the ordinary shot.

Its all fair game when you're out in public and he is a pig.
