Notable (non entertainment world) deaths in 2023

This guy is probably the best example of what a journalist can be but sadly what most will never be!

The truth be known folks, it didn't get any better than Pilger. I followed his work for years and there were only a handful of journalists that came up to even close to his level.  A true giant in truth and real news. This guy will never be forgotten by those who value truth and justice.

Maybe you should ask a moderator to change the year in the title to "2023-2024", so more deaths can be added when they occur.

There's already now a 2024 one. The 2023 is for people who were not mentioned. There are more to come.

Protester of ‘Cop City’ near Atlanta was shot by police at least 57 times, autopsy says

Wounds were found throughout the body of Manuel Paez Teran, who was hit in the head, torso, hands and legs, the DeKalb County medical examiner said.

This is an example of the insanity over there.  And people wonder why the public don't trust their law enforcement agencies.

I can't believe Daniel Ellsberg's passing was missed by many. This guy was brave. He was a true whistleblower.  They don't make them like him anymore.

An activist who went to jail for refusing to serve in the military, he teamed with and married Joan Baez and later became a journalist.

Another brave man who spoke out against a war that should never have been. Funny enough, I was just reading about Joan Baez the other day and if I'm thinking about the same man) I didn't realise that Harris was the man who was locked up when she was performing at Woodstock. She mentioned it on stage.

Respect!
