OK so what interesting things have you done this week end?
I went and played with what some call toy planes others call them model plane, either way I made a bit of a hole on the field with one and its no more
I went for a ride this morning

Do vets not use self disolving stitches ?
You would think in an area like that they would or should or could

How long do they take to dissolve? Perhaps she didn't because the dog licking the stitches may have dissolved them quicker? She advised me to leave these ones in longer than normal as he is an old dog and wouldn't heal as quickly. Also it wasn't a particularly neat incision due to the nature of the tumour although it looks lovely now (if a dogs butt could be described as lovely :^O)

No idea how long to disolve
and yes maybe licking could be a problem
although if right under the tail the dog would need to be double jointed to get to them
But if thats the case they will never use them in boy dogs nut sacks will they ?

He couldn't quite reach with his tongue, although he did try.
I can't remember what she used on his nuts, it was so long ago, hmmmmmmm I think they were ordinary ones and I removed them too.
Years ago the disolving ones were used for internal stitching, but I haven't got a clue what they do with them these days.
