Apparently the dog thinks so too. I managed to sneak another one out today before he realised what I was up to but now I can't get near his rear end again. 'Tis gonna be a long process methinks 😐

Dogs don't like attention to their rear end at the best of times lol.

I had a male dog a while back who was totally paranoid. I picked him up after a vet stay and they had completely shaved his tail 😮 He wouldn't come away from the skirting boards and skulked along looking over his shoulder. :^O I really thought I would need to take him back for some doggie tranquilisers . In the end I had to wrap an elastic bandage around his tail to give the illusion of normal weight, and had to do that for weeks. 😞

LOL katy that is funny.

We had a dog next door that used to upset me because when its owners went out he would chase his tail for hours, I used to go inside I could not look.

oh the poor doggie LOL.

Jack has a shaved butt and his two front legs are shaved as well.

He had an injured tail when he was young and has hated having it touched ever since. As soon as I try and lift it up to get to the stitches he barks at me and runs away.

Maybe I can sneak up on him when he's sleeping.

hmmm but then again they do say let sleeping dogs lie.

Pimpy, funnily enough my dog was called Jack. He had a couple of screws loose I think. Poor boy died of diabetic complications. Still miss him even though he was a hard dog to work out.

My dogs fasting bgl was a bit high in a recent blood test. Not too bad, about 6 I think, or was it 4,  but considering he hadn't eaten for about 17 hours it's not real good either.

He's turned into such a grumpy old thing I hope he doesn't need to go on to injections because he's impossible to do anything with if he thinks it's going to hurt.

Woohoo, last stitch removed. I've been carrying the blade around in my pocket all day and doing sneak attacks on him. Thankgoodness it's finished and I don't have to go near his butt again

Good on you Pimpy, that is how I trim Lilli's claws, one at a time when she is sleeping, which isn't often.

the last one was right underneath his tail. I had to get him on his back, kneel beside him, rest my arm on his chest whilst holding his front legs together with one hand, use the other arm to holding his tail flat with my elbow while trying to cut the stitch, so I was head down, bum up, and in danger of my glasses sliding off my sweaty nose. Must've looked funny from behind.

I wish this storm would do something. I have put a new battery in my bike but there are storms all around, not good for riding. It's really humid.
