Seems NSW is experiencing community stress from 2 sources - they know what to do regarding one issue and so without excuse, but as for the mouse plague......
Been talk of using a hostile to wildlife poison
Now thinking back to my childhood days in rural-like bayside Melbourne , i recall a local farmer using a mixture of cement powder and flour , served with a complimentary dish of tank water to control mice and rats
Terminal constipation
This combination I believe was not appealing to any other creatures and does not linger in active form
But i suppose if a concern could be placed under cover
Just a thought that may justify further improvised field testing - easy enough , if the mixture is gone by the morning means something has been eating it , so just a matter of looking around for dead mice
