No, goblins, the real Marlboro Man was my husband, remember?

I told my mother he reminded me of the Marlboro Man after I first met him and he wanted to go out to lunch, and should I?  I did.

We had a nice long ride until he actually did ride off into the sunset.  In America, where the cowboys are.

I don't believe this conversation had anything to do with you.

Unless you are the jackaroo Longfordson.

It's like this see, goblins.

It's called "Off Topic" thread, with no rules about what somebody can talk about, except of course the rules of the chat board here which one of them is one may not reply to one's self, in the way you are suggesting.

Besides, I enjoy straightening out confusion, tangled up things that some may have all wrong.  You can even imbed videos and as you know, pics with kangaroos.

Oh and that reminds me, confusion, another hallmark.

From what I have witnessed you are your own worst task master.

Good Luck.

There, now that we've got a few of the basics cleared up, time for a little reinforcement, review.

Goblins...It's best not to play word games with Honest Abe's insightful prose.  What's next?  Editing the Gettysburg Address to make arcane points that nobody understands anyway?

So Longfordson is your name?

Has a real cowboy flair to it.

May I be so bold to suggest that you don't worry about myself and Abe, and maybe concentrate on what cowboys do best.

Such as riding off into the sunset.

Aw, shucks.  I've only just arrived, rarin' to jump into the conversation with both feet (wearing Naconas with spurs, natch!), and here you come along and ask me to ride away.  Now, what kind of a reception is that to give a cowboy from the great American West?  Apparently my Abe remarks hit a sore spot.  Hostile, much? Too bad, so sad!  When you mess with a great writer's words of wisdom, naturally you'll get blowback.  I'm frequently the recipient of unkind commentary from those who lack a sense of humor and are woefully ill-equpped to appreciate the tone and intent of my words, which are, of course always perceptive and wise — an attribute I share with Honest Abe. I expected better from you, but hey, it's only a chat board.  Carry on, friend.

That's telling it like it is, compadre.  Whip 'em into shape and keep 'em honest, I say.  Honest, like Abe.  And, speaking of honesty, I wouldn't dream of replying to my own posts, and I know you wouldn't either.  Shame unto those who would suggest such a thing.  One man's confusion is another's path to clarity and order.  Order in the court! Kangaroos in the court!  The Jackaroo has arrived, and the jackals will be vanquished.

If I am honest I have to admit I love the thought of a true American cowboy.

I love stories of old west heroes who win the battle and ride off into the sunset to live happily ever after, with his precious damsel sitting side saddle as they gallop away. Heart

You use the word hostile and you call me friend?

Do you often have difficulty in expressing your thoughts?

I hardly know you and therefore feel the term “friend” is a somewhat premature assumption on your part.

The sunset idea was merely a suggestion.

Whether you do or don't is clearly up to you.

I was attempting to stop any long winded retorts that serve no purpose.

Guess I am too late.

But what the hey, who am I to stand in the way of a persons personal agenda.

Have at it Mr. Jackeroo.  I am sure there are some who will appreciate your support.

(word to the wise, comparing yourself to Abraham Lincoln is, lets just say, very uncouth)
