There was a scream of "Muuuuuummmmm......." from my 10 year old daughters room.
The cat had brought in a great big rat - dead - and deposited it outside Miss 10's door.
Then picked it up and started to throw it around (more screams from Miss 10).
I can't stand rodents - can't touch the things - and fortunately hubby just arrived home - and had to come in and rescue us both and dispose of the rat.
Yuuk - the weather must be changing - the first catch of the colder weather - she is a good ratter and mouser and typically gets several.
I can deal with most things - but not mice and rats

Chooks will happily eat a mouse, my brothers chooks are so chuffed when puts the garden hose down any mouse holes in his (rural) backyard and flush out the mice.
The chooks grab them and have feast. Sometimes they grab them before he gets to knock the mice on the head(to kill them).
