Just finished it, but it didn't come up all shiny like it usually does.
I asked at Bunnings, they don't know why, how about anyone here?
The only thing I did differently this time was I used the gurney.
This is what I did.
1) Scrubbed it with broom and water
2) Gurneyed it.
3) Let it dry
4) Applied the stripper
5) Gurneyed that off.
6) Let it dry
7) Three coats of decking oil, 10 hours drying time between each coat
😎 Wood is stained, but dull - not shiny.
How do I make it go shiny?
Was the gurney too harsh? I just used cold water.
The oil has gone on smoothly and evenly, no streaky bits, so pretty confident no residue or anything.
The built in seating has gone shiny, so why not the deck?
