I love when people decorate a live tree ,I have a weak spot for fairy lights and love seeing a tree full of fairylights at xmas time .
I have colored fairy lights strung up all year but in an odd irony have to turn them off for the Xmas period as they attract the Xmas bettles and I hate to see them in spider webs the next morning ...It took me a while to realise why the spiders were having such success catching them till a cloudy day caused the lights to not power up and no trapped beatles the next day ....I felt so guilty ,so now early december they get turned off for the sake of the poor beatles.
Still have my indoor ones though.some of the trees now have fiber optic leaves they are pretty, but I dont think you are supposed to put orniments on them which takes away some fun

Amalan, the day after we finished decorating this tree I heard a car pull up outside the house and then I heard the voice of what was obviously a young boy saying to his parents . . "I just can't beileve they put all those baubles on a live tree".
cool, eh? ๐
