Without Predudice:
It seems there is a need for an independent 'as titled' thread.
Can we share, say what we would like to say, think what we want to think, even be nice to each other (optional)
(Without religion or politics) (please)(pretty please).
Think I come under the Old Crone bit.

Don't think I have given up.

Good evening Lovely Crones & 'Snappy Tom' Turtles
I would like to ask some help here.
I am flying out to the US on Sunday morning.
The 747 Broom can only take so much weight.
Would you all be kind enough to share your 'travel tips'.
I am a last minute packer - seem to need everything I intend to take.

Tips?
Put all the clothes you want to take on the bed.
Now put half of them back in the cupboard!
Look at the remaining pile and if you need a special pair of pants /skirt to go with a certain top, put them both back in the cupboard.
Mix n match is the go ! As is layers for cooler weather.
I find you can generally get away with "bottoms" for 2 wears, but tops seem to only manage one, so more tops than bottoms.
Unless you are planning on going to the opera a lot you will only need 1 or at the most 2, dressier outfits.
Try to take things that are easy to wash and dry - jeans for example take FOREVER to dry in a laundromat! And it is a good idea to try for a motel / accommodations with a guest laundry at least once a week. I get away with washing out smalls and hanging them to dry overnight, but big items need a laundry,
Remember they are at the opposite season there so it should be warm-ish, but do take at least one presentable warm jacket you can wear with everything.
I also tend to pack only a day or so before leaving so I know what is in the suitcase - OH packs over weeks and tends to find he has forgotten something every time.....

How long is the trip?
Are you travelling once you are there- by plane or car??
I usually write an essential list- stuff I will need.
ie Underwear, swimwear, socks?, 1 pr of shoes..
then on my bed, lay whole outfits together add a few coloured belts or scarfs- handy when the weather is changeable..
I will probably think of more when you answer the above Qs..

Thank you Lurker,
I have only been back from the US for 6 weeks.
Still not sure what I might need - again this time.
I am a very lazy dresser so - black goes with black - goes with black.
Chuck in a bit of white & cream - & the lippy.
Credit Cards are all paid - no worries.
