And Popeye's girlfriend was sooo skinny. So it really is good for you.

It is also the most healthy oil for you... just don't overdo it - everything in moderation.

The cooking shows on TV they pour so much olive oil over the food they prepare, i've often wondered about the need for so much oil in cooking.

What you buy from the shelves in supermarkets, in the way of olive oil, has added extras.........all of it.
My cousin in Adelaide she is married to an italian, they own and make their own olive oil from their olive tree farm. The company has been going for yrs. and they export all the oil overseas to top notch resturaunts, hotels, and here in Australia as well.
They have won many awards for the pure clarity of their oil..........
What you buy in the shops is as good as you are going to get off the shelf, and it is good for you, in small doses.

Do they have a brand that sells in the shops Purple?
I use a light olive oil for frying and I know that it is a blend of oils and virgin olive oil but for dressings and salads I use a West Australian olive oil produced by Jingilli and it is 100% extra virgin olive oil. I buy it in Coles.

No they dont..........they never intended it to be sold in supermarkets and such, because it is really expensive, and I mean expensive, not many would be able to afford it.
Olive oil industry in South Aust,.is big business, that is why they chose to sell it overseas, and once they got the market for it, o/seas, that is where they export it too, namely USA, England...............take it from me, we would not have the money to buy it, if it was sold here.
What you buy here, even though they it is pure, it isnt, but that is all we have here, and what you use, is okay, I use that myself.
