...let the guy pay for dinner or do you insist on paying your own?
This came up for discussion in yesterday's breakfast show.
Sami believes the guy should pay on the first date, its a chivalrous gesture.
Yumi says absolutely not, it's sexist, old-fashioned and old.

Speaking from experience. I think guys should pay, girls should always offer but eventually let the guy pay.
I don't believe in spliting. If you want to share the payment. take turns.
Girls that don't even offer to pay. Dump them.
As for those who don't earn much or Uni students. Don't take them to a fancy places. Plenty of places with good food and atmosphere without the extra moolas.
I don't do pretentious.

Most men in my circles earn more than me, but that's not the point. Of course I could pay for my own meal. But if a man asks me on a dinner or lunch date and pays the bill it makes me fees special and cared about.
My men friends would be horrified to let the girl pay for her own meal on a first date

If the man ivited the lady then he should pay....but if a mutual dinner date was arranged then both pay.
Golly it's been far to long since I went on a dinner date....lol

OH still pays when we go to lunch or dinner together.
So cool, open relationships like yours. And you seem so straitlaced.

In all seriousness, sometimes fish n chips could easily topped the $30-40 pretentious stingy fancy **bleep** they serve out in restaurants.

Or go to the right restaurant and you could find yourself paying $30-40 for fish and chips
