I'm surprised there's no thread already about this. Is it because it's not an Australian case?

Do you think he's innocent Julia?
i think his explanation is plausible so

I don't think it was something hepre-planned either, more a spur of the moment thing, but it resulted in a murder
i don't believe he knew he was shooting at Reeva.
i think the judge got it right in saying that culpable homicide
was a competent verdict.
i think that is generally considered different to murder.

My own gut feeling is that he didn't intend to kill her; that they had a a row, she fled to the bathroom, he snatched up the gun and fired it at the door in a blind rage without any consideration - or evenreal concept - of what the likely consequences would be. When he realised what he had done he became hysterical - hence the screaming.

Depends on whether you call the ground floor the first floor or the ground floor, I call it the first floor, so to me it is the second floor

Did he live in a high security gated estate? I read yesterday if he called called security they would have been there in a very short amount of time.
10:23pm: "All the accused had to do was use his cell phone to call security", she said, which may have taken less time than the firing of the shots.
