Fork the swab because it's a bugger of a thing, takes too long, is too expensive and if not done properly
can too easily give false results. When I was tested ( swab ) in April 2020 I was advised that the test wasn't
totally accurate ( they quoted 75-80% ) and it would be best to have it done twice.

While ever we rely on the PCR swab test, lock downs will become the norm.
PCR is just too bloody slow and NOT 100% accurate.
In Singapore they are now using a 'breath test' with a confirmatory PCR test when
the breath test gives a positive result.
PCR around $200.00 and 8+ hours for results.
Specially trained staff required to ensure correct sample taken.
Breath test around $20.00 1-2 MINUTES for a result.
No specialised staff required.
Comparative accuracy PCR 95-98% and breath test 94-95% accurate.
There is no toss up.
It's about time the pathology labs got off the gravy train.
