I kinda agree. I gave someone plus their wife hope today about their son's condition. Maybe that's not a good thing.
yes, that could lead you to a negative emotion - disapponitment, if the condition of the son doesn't improve

Are there different types of hope?
False hope - is hope built entirely around a fantasy, a hope that has no knowable chance of coming to fruition.
Not good.
Ordinary hope - hope you win the lotto, hope it doesn't rain tomorrow, hope you do well in your exams (need to study as well though!).
No harm done for this type of hope.
