I guess the mad monk thinks we all have the stereotypical 'memory of a goldfish'....
It is a promise......another to be broken, that parliment will be respectful
http://au.news.yahoo.com/a/19754668/abbott-promises-respectful-new-parliament/
Addressing the West Australian Liberal branch at its annual conference on Saturday, Mr Abbott pledged a parliament that "discusses the issues, rather than abuses individuals".
The prime minister said the parliament wouldn't impugn the motives of opponents or trash their reputations.
If anyone tried to go over the top, new Speaker Bronwyn Bishop would sort them out.
"And I am confident that after just a few weeks of the new parliament - that parliament that diminished our policy and embarrassed our citizens over the last three years - will soon seem like just a bad memory," Mr Abbott said.

Why did we have so many threads on CS dissing Julia & Kevin over the last few years pre 2013 election, if it is not normal to discuss the Govt of the day - their policies, decisions, indiscretions and faux-pas?
I find that really strange, that anyone would expect most of the political discussion now would be centred around the opposition (Labor party).
Face up to it... one term Tony, has the spotlight on him now.

Because they were a train wreck.

Fine. He's just a short while into his term which he gained with an overwhelming vote from the AUS people as against backstabbing and proven liar Ms Gillard and Two Gos No Go Mr Rudd. And the Labor party still recovering from the loss of it's "Star Performers" apparently.
Face up to that.

So you want us to discuss the past.. Julia, Kevin.. or the oppostion (who are not in power to make decisions). and not even mention Tony Abbott and his failures so far? (I see he already has a nickname of Mr Fibbitt)
Not everyone that disapproves of Tony Abbott is a Labor supporter, something many LNP supporters fail to realise.

No I don't care, but don't forget to pick up your little halo's from around your little ankles.

Aw yeah ho hum. I'm no great lover of the LNP either, but they're certainly an improvement on the previous train wreck of a government. I'm prepared to go with them (seeing I have no choice.)

I wish Ms Gillard well. I have nothing against her personally.

I'm watching Julia Gillard speaking at the women's trust, gee she's a great speaker.
I hope labor in opposition doesn't treat the government like tony treated her.
She is amazing, can you imagine Tony Abbott being able to stand there and speak as fluently as she can?
