Something i Cant live without ?
My Schrader Uncle Henry Pocket Knife. Was given this nearly 40 years ago for my 21 st birthday, and as a farmer have used it most days ever since. I did loose it for several weeks when I left it on top of a hay bale in a padock, but after much searching managed to find it again. The brass on the handle is rubbed and worn, but the blade is as good as the day it was purchased. I keep it sharp with an oil stone and butchers stil.
Used for all sorts of jobs around the farm, and yes it serves with much more difficult tasks when sheep are injured or ill. It has been used for this purpose for so many years, that I actually treat it with a bit of respect and reverence. Sounds strange I know, but there is that strong emotional element to it.

The other thing I cant live without - My wire strainers.
You will note the polish on the handles from constant use. I purchased these from a station clearing sale several decades ago. They where worn when I got them, and I have done an enormous amount of work with them since. So much so that I have had to replace several of the rivets which have plain worn out. I have got new sets of strainers, but they are tight and difficult to use. These ones are worn and move very freely and come with an extra long chain for heavy work. Heck , I might even have them atop my coffin and get buried with them.
