I know a few of of us have pics on our computers they were taken by spouses or offspring. Someone else mentioned having siblings photos as well. Then there are professional pics that still belong to us e.g. school photos of our kids etc..
It's hard to know where to draw the line. I have pics taken with my camera by my my hubby and I have to stop and think which one of us took it.
I think if we have a direct link to the the pic it should be allowed to be posted, but I'm not sure about voting on it.
I'm going to offer a few options in the next few posts. Give kudos to the one you agree with the most.

And now I'm going to have nightmares about starving homeless cats
I had those nightmares in November 2012 and ended up with a cat on the 1st Dec 2012 and we have just had our 1st anniversary together and there is no way my nightmares see him starving anymore.

I really don't want it brought up again.Rightly or wrongly, it won't change the outcome.
I'm really getting tired of these photo threads causing so much upset to people. I wouldn't bother with them anymore but I know Monsters in the dungeon likes to look in on them, and after giving us so much fun with her Screech thread, I'd like to give something back to her.

Pimpy's thread, Pimpy's rules, as far as I'm concerned - end of argument.

The latest challenge that rule changed and I was not sure what having propiertary rights to a photo meant exactly... ie: for example, if someone has a family member that is a profesional/semi professional photographer should the poster be allowed to post lots of that family members photos (talking generally not about anyone here).
Having choices to vote on is a good way of working out what everyone would prefer.
my*fav -- the thread is specifically a Photo Challenge thread (with a theme, daily, weekly etc), they are quite common on forums, facebook etc. They are for people to post their own work...a challenge
A general post any photo you like thread isn't the same thing.
c'mon, hey!
We've had people squabble over kudos and revoking kudos, people keeping score of who gives each other kudos. accusations of multi ID's voting for pictures. snarky comments made causing people to withdraw their pics, false accusations of work not being someone's own, smiling assassin pot shots back peddalled and labeled a joke, the list goes on and all could have been addressed through private PM's instead of trying to publicly humiliate people and point score.
I dunno, sometimes I wonder how old we really all are when lives seem to revolve around this sort of stuff, ya know?
Some are taking it deadly serious and really rising to the personal challenge of improving/mastering.practising their photography and enhancement skills. Others are coming up with some brilliantly creative "plays on the theme" others are getting enjoyment out of proud or exciting moments or milestones in their lives. Some are enjoying "trips down memory lane", some are finding new ways to look at everyday things that so many people just take for granted in life. And still others just get a whole heap of enjoyment from seeing what others can and do come up with as a whimsical way to take a break from the daily grind.
I dunno, but just once, it would be so cool to see the entire community "come together" have something everyone can participate in in some manner.
