when i kudos photos in this thread, i look for what jumps out at me, composition, interpretation of the theme and the "something different" Im finding it hard for this one as im not a cake judge and cant cook to save my life.
I dont go to parties where cake is really on the menu, and they all seem to have other people in them anyway
So far to me, GC has it, for persistence ๐ and thinking a bit differently but still within the theme.
Some of you are fantastic cake decorators and should be so proud of your selves. i wish i had talent like that

Isn't this thread about the photography, not how to make great cakes?

just vote for the pics that make you go "ooooooo"
we're not getting charged for every kudos we give (yet, but give eBay time), so we can kudos as many as we want, can't we?

I do agree. Are we allowed to photoshop pics of cakes that we find on the internet?
I just haven't got a cake photo unless it has a member of my family in it. I love 2 terrors cakes and the photos are pretty darn good too.

Oops, sorry Amber. I meant to reply to you but I kudoed you. That's ok.
My favourite ever cake is a tropical cake. It's a sponge that has yummy custard in the middle and fruit like mango, peaches and kiwi fruit on the top. Just gorgeous, even for a non cake eating person like me.
No photos except with pics of my sons.

My cake photos are about the birthday not the cake. It was a special occasion, we were all working odd shifts that day and she wasn't expecting a cake or anything special. It's a white chocolate red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting :D:D:D
Importantly it was extremely edible. Delicious even.
