Can someone tell me how to download pics from Photobucket nowadays? It used to be easy in the old days, but I can't find where or how any longer

I got it to work! On the right side of the PB page has an "update links options". I clicked on that, then scrolled down and unchecked "link back to albums, saved.
Copied the direct link, click the tree, click from another site, paste link in box, load image (box to the right of where you paste the link, barely visable), then click "insert image" above pic.....also must type in a title into title box.

Doh!!!! Thanks Jimmy!!! I didnt need to update the options, just forgot to type in image title. I dont use photobucket to post pics here anymore. I get them from my computer. Would help if the error message actually said what the problem was.
So, Darki, if you follow the steps above and remember to type in image title, it should work.

I cannot even find an 'Update links' option.
I have 'links to share this photo' and when I click on them it says 'copy'... but that's about it.
I've been playing with it for about half an hour and still no success ๐

Will try again. The update links option should be just under the 'share this photo' links. (you might not need to update, i didn't)
Click on the Direct link and copy. (it should just automatically say 'copied')
When you go to reply here, click on the little square green icon up there ^^^ near the smiley face.
In there, click on 'from another site', then paste the copied code into the space next to 'image' then click on 'load image' that is just under it. You will need to type in image title - call it whatever you want and then 'insert image'. Before you click 'post' you can preview your whole post to see if the pic looks ok. Preview is up there ^^^ above the smiley face.
The first window that pops up after you click on the green sqaure should look like this:
