Yesterday I finally managed to snap a photo of a frog. In fact, TWO frogs. Usually I can hear them croaking but they hide themselves too well for me to see them.
I nearly stepped on this poor little guy (or girl) because tree frogs blend in with their surroundings so well.
Great nature shots, artful. The first photo is definitely a frog, and I believe the second photo is a toad (has elevated paratoid glands behind the eyes and dry "bumpy" skin). Glad you missed stepping on him!

I've been playing around with Lunapic again. While I really don't find nature photos that have been given "treatments" appealing, I think you can do some stunning things to photos of inanimate objects.
Here's a photo of a water tower I took.
And here it is after I gave it a "thermal" effect.
I wouldn't mind blowing that up and framing it!
