so in the past aborginals would kill a wombat with a rock, in order to EAT it.
saying this moron was doing that is drawing a very long bow.
the video clearly shows a most likely drunk individual killing a native animal for pleasure.
if he cooked and ate it then i take back my acusation.
way too many in our society i get pleasure from harming animals and that leading on to hurting people.
that this moron is a cop just scares the hell out of me.
as for the 'elder' saying 'nothing to see here, its cultural'. elder, villiage idiot better describes him.
how to take relations with 21st century folk back to the bad old days.
if one must kill an animal to eat for 'cultural' reasons, do it humanely not like a drunken yobbo.
imagine if you will a horse falling at the melbourne cup and a guy runs over and kills it with a baseball bat then gives the thumbs up for a picture?

If this kind of behaviour is being condoned by some indigenous people, then god help 'em they are wayyy more backward than I thought they were, they really have no hope at all

David Eastman awarded more than $7 million for wrongful murder conviction, almost 20 years in jail
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-10-14/david-eastman-awarded-7-million-in-compensation/11598744
so did he do it like the police think or did they decide he did it and then went about 'finding' the evidence to put him away for a crime he didnt do?
we had a similar case here in south australia, a young lawyer was found drowned in the bath and the cops decided her boyfriend at the time was the culprit and created a circumstatial case against him,
he too was jailed for 26 years, then released following an over turning of the verdict.

the police have a habit of deciding who 'did it' then finding evidence to get a conviction not to prove guilt.

NSW plods this time........
I particularly agree with this comment:
"The people who hear of this incident are likely to form a very adverse view of police officers and as a result be wary of or even aggressive towards those officers with whom they come in to contact," the report stated.

Absolute BS what the elder said. Another example of the indigenous doing outrageous things and expecting a pat on the head. It does nothing for their cause.
