Dear Mods..I've asked it before and will ask it again.
Political discussion on the Community Spirit board engenders hate speech, enmity, constant argument and divides the community.
There should be a dedicated Politics Board for those that like to indulge in such pastimes.
Solved! Go to Solution.

The past is just that, the past. Harking back to the past is a worry.
Point missed, as usual. The constant politcal bashing that seems to be the only threads here is not everyone's cup of tea. I was suggesting that some posters like threads not of a political nature. Same old bashing gets tedious.
Do they start threads they might like?
The thing is, if it is interesting, it gets posted on and stays on page 1.

There is another reason for a thread's longevity, the posters who keep it alive are a mutual admiration society constantly patting themselves on the back. They have nothing to contribute on other topics, they just add to the copious quantity of diatribe in their chosen thread.
🙂

Oh dear, so we shouldn't have long running threads now.... what's left ... When's my Centrelink family assistance annual bonus payment due threads?
Remember those?
Or copious threads daily, started from click bait articles on 9msn?
As usual those that complain about the threads here don't start any themselves nor keep up a good discussion in any of them. No-one is obliged to start a thread for the sole purpose of entertaining others.

Name one person that does that. I'm pretty sure that all posters visit plenty of threads and post on them. Just because most don't bother to visit your threads isn't an example. It just shows good taste.
