How is it anyone elses business?
If it is in the media it becomes anyones business... do you really expect no-one to ever comment on stories in the media?
She is the one that has approached the media (after seeing a professional photographer take a photo of her smoking in her car)... she has given her story... people are going to comment...

It is the womans choice, I'm sure no one is the perfect mummy to be,

If she (Chrissie) was happy with her choice to smoke while pregnant, why was she skulking around smoking in private her car only and wouldn't tell her OH or her own family?
She says she thinks it is the wrong thing to do.

Chrissie Swan - speaking on the radio
Obviously I know it is wrong, Iโm not an idiot. No smoker wants to smoke, especially when they are pregnant but it is clearly an addiction and a very serious one because it can cloud your judgement and can make the unthinkable somehow ok. (Takes deep breath)
As a listener to this show, you know I am devoted to my children. (Takes deep breath)
I would never do anything to harm them. (Sniff) And yet here I am, having five cigarettes a week and justifying it, itโs madness.(Sniff)
I cannot explain it. I knew it was wrong but thereโs so much terrible judgement that only awful people and bad parents and idiots and bogans smoke during pregnancy and I didnโt feel like I belonged in any of those categories. (Sniff)

I feel sorry for any smoking woman who gets pregnant - it's such a hard, hard habit to give up.
It doesn't sound as if she was doing a pack a day - more like she was sneaking one in when away from hubby. That won't hurt baby I am sure.
I was so careful with my first pregnancy with everything I ate or drank. But I realised that a glass of wine once in a blue moon was fine. A cigarette once a blue moon was fine. The stats highlight problem in babies born of chronic smokers or drinkers.

Smoking is a terrible thing to give up, I gave up almost 13 years ago and still get mad cravings for them

Chrissie having a couple of ciggies isnt the big issue.. She is HUGE..... She is morbidly obese and the fact you cant even tell she is pregnant due to her size says it all. .
Her children are over weigh... (Maybe its true, fat parents have fat kids......)
People like Chrissie Swan should stop promoting and celebrating her obesity. She promotes herself as โhappy and fatโ and gives the impression to all the other obese people out there that she is someone to aspire to and that it is perfectly okay to be obese, and you can have it all including being a mother. When in fact there sedentary and unhealthy lifestyle is dangerous to her/their physical and mental health and their children and they will be a drain on tax payer dollars and the health system with the life long complications that come with being obese....
Bottom line is she is FAT very FAT and weight is her biggest issue and the smoking doesn't help
