Poor child in suitcase

How sad is this case in which a suitcase has been found with the skeleton  of a child 2-8 inside. It looks like it is a little girl as clothing has been found in the same suitcase...little dresses and such with animals  and Dora the Explorer  ect . According to the little forensics they have carried out so far the child died a very violent death.

How awful that a little child can meet a horrible end and is not even reported missing

Apparently a man about 60 was seen weeks ago carting  a suitcase and police are now seeking him but many locals had seen the case and some had even gone through it but missed the skeletal  remains

just so tragic the whole thing

Re: Poor child in suitcase

that's interesting, erica.

THE body of a murdered child found on the side of a South Australian highway could be that of missing toddler Madeleine McCann, British police have indicated.

Although SA police have strongly denied any link between the world’s most high-profile missing girl and the remains of a child found near a suitcase on the side of the road at Wynarka, a Scotland Yard spokesman said it could not be ruled out.

According to UK newspaper, the Daily Mirror, the spokesman confirmed that British officers had contacted their Australian counterparts when the skeletal remains were found three weeks ago.

“We are aware of reports of the remains of a child having been found in South Australia, and we have made contact with the Australian authorities,” The Yard spokesman said.

SA police believe a fair-haired girl aged between two-and-a-half and four is the murder victim whose remains were found in the Murray Mallee.

Following an autopsy, police revealed it was “terribly clear that the child died aviolent death under terrible circumstances”.

so perhaps its a case of reading this

in the media and not a case of the public's

[absurd] imagination.

If you want to believe it is a genuine possibility, that is your prerogative.

I shall conitnue to believe it is absurd.

And if events prove me wrong, feel free to say "I told you so."

Re: Poor child in suitcase

Well the thing is She_el, and I'm thinking the absolute worst possible scenario for poor young Madeleine, if she was taken for use in one of the revolting child porn or pedophile rings then she would have been no use to anyone once her face was so well known all over the world.

What else could they do but dispose of her.

Re: Poor child in suitcase

So if it was Madeleine, it would mean she was taken from her room, smuggled out of Portugal, smuggled into Australia and murdered there all within the  span of 18 months

18 months is an awfully long time, it only takes a few hours to fly between countries in this day and age. They could have taken her through a dozen countries in 18 months. Personally I think the chances of it being her are pretty slim but I dont think I'd call it absurd. It would be absurd for them to not consider the possibility that it could be her or even other children missing from overseas. They're clearly struggling to find a missing Australian child that it could be.

its not about that.

i'm just saying that what you found on your

newsfeed could have been the public's reaction

to the media reports; in particular the NSY.

Re: Poor child in suitcase

though I think anything's possible

these reports suggest it is not her

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/madeleine-mccann-australian-police-dismiss-6146968

http://metro.co.uk/2015/07/28/body-found-in-suitcase-in-australia-is-not-madeleine-mccann-5315690/

But Australian police have ruled out the link between the body and one of the most high profile missing person cases in the world.

Australian Police Commissioner Grant Stevens said there is ‘absolutely no evidence’ that the child is Madeleine, The Australian newspaper reported.

He told a parliamentary estimates committee hearing: ‘There is absolutely no evidence at this point in time that the child is Madeleine McCann… to suggest something like that at this point in time would purely be speculating to get attention.

there are a lot of tabloid type, sensationalist newspapers in the UK, I don't know which ones are the most believable.

but I do hope both cases are one day solved. the Madeleine case has been a mystery for such a long time

Re: Poor child in suitcase

I will be very surprised if it is her. I am thinking that the age narrowed down to 2 1/2 to 4 yo and the size 2 clothes exclude that possibility.

Re: Poor child in suitcase

I would be surprised too.

I'm thinking DNA testing will probably be done. It won't necessarily show who the parents are but it would allow the Mc Cann child or some other missing children to be ruled out.

Tests take a few weeks before the results are in though, so I have heard.

DNA testing can also show ethnic background & it's a long shot, but if it is compared to the registered DNA on ancestry, could show related family lines. Doubt the parents would be on it but it could start to narrow the search a little bit.

The way some families are fractured these days, I can see how a child could disappear and not be missed. I know of one little girl who was only in her second year of schooling but at about her 20th school & sure enough, one day the daughter talked about a trip to Qld and presto, they didn't come back.
