How sad is this case in which a suitcase has been found with the skeleton of a child 2-8 inside. It looks like it is a little girl as clothing has been found in the same suitcase...little dresses and such with animals and Dora the Explorer ect . According to the little forensics they have carried out so far the child died a very violent death.
How awful that a little child can meet a horrible end and is not even reported missing
Apparently a man about 60 was seen weeks ago carting a suitcase and police are now seeking him but many locals had seen the case and some had even gone through it but missed the skeletal remains
just so tragic the whole thing

They ruled Milat out for the woman's murder as he was in jail at the time. It's a most extraordinary and terrible businesss, but I am glad she has been identified and her family can now lay her to rest with her mum.

She was last seen in late 2008, so extremely unlikely to be a Milat victim imo.
I say a boyfriend, someone who told her mother, (who has since passed away), that they were ok in late 2009 and didn't want contact.

How tragic. A mother and child brutally murdered and the murderer carried the childs body to a place miles away.

Whatever the sequence of events, it's all really weird. Why dump the bodies in two different places? I'm wondering whether the little girl was maybe killed first, somewhere near where the suitcase was left, and the mother was abducted and driven to NSW - perhaps even kept alive for several days before being killed and dumped . The other question is was the suitcase with the child's remains in it dumped immediately after her murder or was it hidden somewhere else and later moved to where it was found?

who wouldn't want a little girl??
while you are here, what does that mean, who wouldn't want a little girl?
um, she had with her a quilt that someone has hand made
Yes but handmade by whom? You can buy handmade quilts in op-shops.
Some ethnic groups value boy children over girl children.
It looks like a quilt made by a quilting group, given to children in shelters or hospitals.
turns out, it was made by her
grandmother

yes, some of us thought she must've been a cared for child due to the belongings found with her. It never crossed my mind that her mother could've been murdered too... such a sad story. let's hope they have further breakthroughs in this case and find who is responsible very soon

I thought from the very start that there would be more than one body 😞 Im so glad the little girl now has a name and family who are grieving for her if that makes sense.
The police said an interesting thing, 3 times on th epress release. In relation to cathing the person...."these people" "the people who"
I wonder if there is more than one person involved.

One doesn't even dare to think that they murdered the mother first and kept the little girl until they killed her in SA.
