How sad is this case in which a suitcase has been found with the skeleton of a child 2-8 inside. It looks like it is a little girl as clothing has been found in the same suitcase...little dresses and such with animals and Dora the Explorer ect . According to the little forensics they have carried out so far the child died a very violent death.
How awful that a little child can meet a horrible end and is not even reported missing
Apparently a man about 60 was seen weeks ago carting a suitcase and police are now seeking him but many locals had seen the case and some had even gone through it but missed the skeletal remains
just so tragic the whole thing

maddie disappeared the same year.
she was 3, caucasian, had fair hair,

Portugal Resident weighed into the speculation, recalling that two Madeleine McCann sightings 'firmly alluded to Australian connections'.
Police have said the remains found in a suitcase in Wynarka are 'unlikely' to be of the missing girl.
given the case similiarities between the missing child only found recently & Madeleine McCann, i think it more 'likely' to be Madeleine
i'm not saying the body recently found is very likely to be Madeleine; what i'm saying is i believe the body recently found is just as likely to be Madeleine rather than 'unlikely'

I think it's more likely to be an Australian child.
There are quite a few missing children that fit the description, police are focused on South Australian children first but a small search of missing in Australia brings up 5 that fit the description, quite easily.
Sad, whoever it is.

Maddie disappeared in Portugal in May 2007. She was three. The little girl in the suitcase was aged beteen 2.5 and 4. So if it was Madeleine, it would mean she was taken from her room, smuggled out of Portugal, smuggled into Australia and murdered there all within the span of 18 months. Then her body was hidden somewhere for six years before being dumped in a suitcase. It's not totally impossible but I think it stretches the bounds of credibility.

Just a question, are you one of the detectives working on the case?

probably but i wouldn't call the idea
as being absurd. as the commissioner
said - they need to be open to all possibilities
until the identity of the child is known.

because she thinks its possible?
then you need to ask the same question
those who think the opposite.

Apearently, Scotland Yard does not dismiss the idea that it could be Madeline.
Modern Forensic Science can find a million things to identify a badly deconposed body, but it takes time and many methods to work with.
All speculation is useless and can only cause friction.
We all have to wait and see what the experts will tell us in the end.
