Poor child in suitcase

How sad is this case in which a suitcase has been found with the skeleton  of a child 2-8 inside. It looks like it is a little girl as clothing has been found in the same suitcase...little dresses and such with animals  and Dora the Explorer  ect . According to the little forensics they have carried out so far the child died a very violent death.

How awful that a little child can meet a horrible end and is not even reported missing

Apparently a man about 60 was seen weeks ago carting  a suitcase and police are now seeking him but many locals had seen the case and some had even gone through it but missed the skeletal  remains

just so tragic the whole thing

From the reports I get the feeling the police believe she was murdered some consderable time - possibly several years - before her body was dumped.

If that's the case Az.. I hope someone recognises it

I hope so too.

They never did find out who the little baby girl was that was found buried in the sand at Maroubra beach in Sydney:

on last night's news they reported that she was caucasion, and had blonde hair

surely someone, somehere must've noticed a little girl gone missing

they also reported that they are in contact with some quilting groups, so if that can be traced back, it's at least a start

Could be the girl's grandmother may have lost contact?  Mine makes amazing quilts, hope they are able to track it down to its source.  It's so very sad.

............. To do so without having proof sounds a bit racist to me

'to do so without proof' is merely suggesting a motive for why this tragedy happened Debra

Seems that idea was totally on the wrong track then rebelcr, especially now that they have reported that the child was caucasian.

To me she was always a child... I couldn't speculate on her ethnicity without any evidence

yes i also later read the child's ethnicity has been confirmed Debra but until a homicide/murder is solved, motives still need to be addressed & eliminated as each homicide/murder scenerio is also addressed until, or if, the offender confesses

in short, if a detective does their work accurately, all possibilities will be raised until evidence surfaces to eiliminate each possibility

I hope the detectives are onto something with the quilt, that may be the best lead they have so far and I'm sure that those detectives on the case will be addressing and eliminating each fact/possibility as they arise

By whom? I'm sure the police have been following up any possible clues, but there have been no official  reports as far as I know speculating on  her possible ethnic origins other than the confirmation that she was caucasian.
