Pre-menopause pains

For a couple of months I have had pains in my wrists and ankles (joints). Mainly when I wake up or am still for a while. It takes about 30mins to feel less 'stiff' in the mornings and about 10mins other times.

I don't have any type of arthritis or osteo problems.

Today someone mentioned this is a common pre menopausal symptom.

Is this true?

joz - why would it be muscular? I'm not doing anything that would strain my musles in any way.

poor sleeping postures and poor postures in general will cause pain (muscular skeletal problems)

but if youre fully aware about this and are in perfect posture 24/7 or have leanrt how to correct posture, then it could be something else

My posture isn't particularly good although I sleep well. But wouldn't I more likely to have back or neck pains rather than wrist of ankle pains?

Pre-menopause pains

Oh well - I figured I'd ask the pre-menopausal question on here seeing as there are so may of you apparently lol! But looks like I can strike that reason off the list.

well yes but i find it unusual to experience pain in just the wrist and in the ankle areas

i mean if its cronic pain then maybe its over shadowing pain elsewhere?

wrist pains are symptoms of a neck problem, ankle pains are symptoms of a back problem

perhaps see a professional

Signatures suck.

Pre-menopause pains

Martini, I know I have read that aching joints could be a symptom of menopause but I don't know where.  Who knows though.  I don't know your age but getting towards middle age and upwards your joints are not going to be as creak free as they once were.

Plus... I just tested my olives and they are not nice Smiley Sad

Pre-menopause pains

I just googled it and apparently it is quite common to get joint pains in the 2-10 years before menopause kicks in while your hormones are trying to get used to the oestrogen getting a bit wobbly. I'm 47 so got to be getting close I imagine. Once menopause starts it goes away. Weird.

No dry eyes. Is that an arthritis symptom?

Pre-menopause pains

Six months!  I can't believe I waited that long.  I tested them three months ago and they were still very bitter and over salty so I changed the brine and added half red wine vinegar.

They are very pale and the texture is a bit wrong so I must have not done something right.  Oh well.  They are not that bad but I'm not very trusting that I'm not poisoning myself LOL.

Thank you for your help though.  Sorry for being off topic.

My OH has another explanation.

Some people can go their whole lives and never really live for a single minute.
