Pre-menopause pains

For a couple of months I have had pains in my wrists and ankles (joints). Mainly when I wake up or am still for a while. It takes about 30mins to feel less 'stiff' in the mornings and about 10mins other times.

I don't have any type of arthritis or osteo problems.

Today someone mentioned this is a common pre menopausal symptom.

Is this true?

Re: Pre-menopause pains

Yes, it is true.

I had a similar thing, kept waking up with pains in my fingers. As there was no swelling that ruled out arthritis. The doctor said that pain in your 'small joints' was a symptom of Menopause.

Re: Pre-menopause pains

how about a visit to the dr?   and blood tests etc.  they will show if you are pre menopausal.  lack of estrogen etc.

sooner the better
