For a couple of months I have had pains in my wrists and ankles (joints). Mainly when I wake up or am still for a while. It takes about 30mins to feel less 'stiff' in the mornings and about 10mins other times.
I don't have any type of arthritis or osteo problems.
Today someone mentioned this is a common pre menopausal symptom.
Is this true?

They are very pale and the texture is a bit wrong so I must have not done something right. Oh well. They are not that bad but I'm not very trusting that I'm not poisoning myself LOL.
Thank you for your help though. Sorry for being off topic.
Might be as good as they get. If you are used to eating shop marinated olives then it might be just that you stomach the taste. They never taste like the ones in the shop. Harder and more bitter usually.
Just eat them anyway lol. I found a jar in the back of the fridge the other day that has to be at least 2 years old. I ate them.

@i-need-a-martini wrote:I just googled it and apparently it is quite common to get joint pains in the 2-10 years before menopause kicks in while your hormones are trying to get used to the oestrogen getting a bit wobbly. I'm 47 so got to be getting close I imagine. Once menopause starts it goes away. Weird.
Well, apparently so, according to google.
I went into menopause immediately following chemo but then all returned to normal a couple of years later........ my pain didn't start till 2 years ago. maybe I am just lucky?
Doctor..... chiro.... massage?
and I now tale Magnesium and Celebrex.

I just read that menopause can take up to 10 years to kick in??? **bleep**?!
I thought I just went from periods, a couple of hot flushes, no periods. What's this 10 year transition garbage all about??

it's just the worst case scenario.................. some people notice nothing............

Thanks for letting me know. As long as I am not sick later (I ate four) I will give them a go 🙂
Menopause can take forever but the hot flushes are fun. I loved the woosh of heat that just rises up. My sister in law thought I was a joy because she had so many patients that hated it but I kind of liked it.

sounds like yet another revolting thing that women have to deal with.
You'd think that someone would have found a cure for it by now.
It's just wrong.

The absolute worst thing about menopause is the fact that your backside and belly change places. Used to have flat stomach and rounded posterior but now it's the other way round

It might be worth suggesting to your Doctor to check for Ross River or Barmah forest virus if you live in a prone area.
A side effect is that RR and BF also commonly cause Polyarthritis.
If you feel like you have had the FLU in the past couple of months.... and cannot seem to shake it then that may be also another
symptom that may help your doctor diagnose the cause of your problem

Unlike my poor mum my menopause was done and dusted in a few months at 42. Chemo induced, hot flushes were a pain and an unwelcome experience seeing me race out the door in the middle of the night to cool down. My children would say 'here she goes again' as my face turned red lol
There is lots of helpful natural remedies out there, works for some not for others and it's a matter of trial and error.
Try glucosamine martini....excellent for joint pain.

HOt flushes are horrible, not because they are hot(that is nice) but because they melt your breasts into sagging blobs like warm jelly. THey seems to slip thru your fingers when you try to hold them up!
I suspect they are melting my face collagen too, the wrinkles may came later!
Age 46, flushes coming up on two years so far.
I'd like to know if the slight numbness down my left side is a menopausal symptom, face, arm shoulder, torso and leg, kinda like a light case of pins and needles?
