Bill Shorten the executioner - The machine man

If Labor elect Bill Shorten as leader then they deserve everything they get.

Bill Shorten the machine man, the union heavy, the man who destroyed 2 sitting Prime Minister's reign & betrayed his own support base, the man who engineered  the worst failures of govt. in history because of his machinations.

A charmless, dull, short tempered man, a man who will bring nothing to the leadership & will ensure Labor stay out of contention for more than 2 terms.

He is from the right faction & ordinarily I would prefer that (see the left socialist Gillard disaster) but a more popular man like Albanese is more palatable even though he is steeped in the left faction.

Albanese looks like a shoo in as his left faction support in the rank & file is enormous but he may not get the support of the caucus.

What is ahead for Labor if the caucus elect Short Fuse Shorten but he is defeated by the rank & file? will it mean more instability because the caucus will not have supported the winner Albanese ie. his caucus didn't want him!

That article reads like the real author is concerned about Shorten already. The pasting of it here seems to indicate the right are feeling threatened as a whole. Which is entirely understandable .

More concern by the OP about what the ALP are up to rather than focussing on and critically examining what the Government is up to.

what the government is up to also applies to their intentions and their actions up to and including the time they were sworn in.   It's not as if they were sitting on their hands waiting for their cup of tea with the GG before they started making plans.   Sorry if you took the term government too literally *ibis, my apologies for the confusion.

Mr Whitlam didn't hang around waiting for a full ministry to be sworn in.

The duumvirate – ministry of two

On 5 December 1972 Whitlam became the first Labor Prime Minister since 1949. He and Deputy Prime Minister Lance Barnard were sworn into all portfolios, Whitlam holding 13 and Barnard 14. It was a mini-ministry that was unique in Australian political history. The duumvirate made 40 significant decisions in its brief tenure, including the immediate release of all draft resisters, the removal of troops from Vietnam and the recognition of Communist China.

Why the concern silverfaun, surely you don't care either way? Or perhaps just a good excuse to use descriptive words you wouldn't use against the other side?

Whitlam???????????? the most incompetent chaotic govt & thrown out in a landslide. The fantasists & mythologizing on here by the labbies beggars belief.

Next we'll be served up the Rudd/Gillard/Rudd catastrophe as a shining time in Labor history.Robot LOL

This is the reason Conservatives are the rightful governers of this country, they are the preferred party by the majority of Australians.

The chaos & dysfunction, incompetent & dishonest activities of Labor shines through every single time they manage to slither into power. Then they screw it all up & the Conservatives are left to clean up their mess. Spreading their stuff everywhere then gloat & fantasize about how good they were.

Well guess what?? they are gone & will be gone for years. Australians will never forget this Labor failure, they will not forgive Labor, they don't appeal to the working people of this country anymore, they are out of touch & out of date.
