Prince Harry Drops His Royal Surname

Prince Harry has dropped his royal surname after leaving Britain for California with wife Meghan Markle. 

The Duke of Sussex, 35, is listed as Prince Henry Charles Albert David, Duke of Sussex in documents registering new eco-friendly tourism firm Travalyst, which will feature a grading system for users to track their carbon emissions.

He appears to have ditched both his HRH title and the royal family name Mountbatten-Windsor.  

It comes after the royal launched the firm in Edinburgh during one of his final round of engagements as a senior working royal - and asked delegates 'just to call him Harry'.

Hmmm...could it be he's not really a "Mountbatten-Windsor" after all, and that's why he's so determined to "divorce" the Royal Family"?

Yeah, I know...I always thought he looked more like Charles than William...but what's the politcis here?

Why is he so adamant in leaving his royal heritage and renouncing his family name?

I mean really? It's a big step. Even for just a commoner!

Well, he will.    She will survive as she did before.

He hasn't got a clue how to survive without people doing it for him.

He's only ever had the Army and charity work. 

Doesn't give you a working model for the outside world.

Might end up back at The Family.

Edward and Sophie tried to go it alone years ago.

Can anyone show me where the Royals even use a surname when they are using their Title as Harry has in that document?

When he was in the army he used the name Harry Wales and William was known as Wiliam Wales.....using their Fathers title as a surname.

Personally I think Harry is still trying to milk his Royal connection.....if he was serious about severing his connections to the Family he would have just gone by the name of Harry (Henry) Mountbatten-Windsor.....the same surname he chose for his son.  I ws surprised he did not use Wales a he will always be Prince Henry of Wales.

As for the HRH part of his title....the Queen has forbidden the use of that.   He will always be a Prince because of his birth and he is still the Duke of Sussex unless/until the Queen removes that but he is no longer HRH.

no matter what they do, he will allways be 'prince harry'

and when the marriage crashes and burns (most probably) he will return to the family and get his old job back in the family business.

this is just a short period where he tries other things.
