Prince Harry has dropped his royal surname after leaving Britain for California with wife Meghan Markle.
The Duke of Sussex, 35, is listed as Prince Henry Charles Albert David, Duke of Sussex in documents registering new eco-friendly tourism firm Travalyst, which will feature a grading system for users to track their carbon emissions.
He appears to have ditched both his HRH title and the royal family name Mountbatten-Windsor.
It comes after the royal launched the firm in Edinburgh during one of his final round of engagements as a senior working royal - and asked delegates 'just to call him Harry'.
Hmmm...could it be he's not really a "Mountbatten-Windsor" after all, and that's why he's so determined to "divorce" the Royal Family"?

and when the marriage crashes and burns (most probably) he will return to the family and get his old job back in the family business.
this is just a short period where he tries other things.
does anyone actually think you can stop being a 'royal'?
the press will allways call him prince.
Time will tell...

Twiddling his thumbs while she's out working.
He'll be her handbag while she's garnered herself a Prince.
History repeats itself as per King Edward and Wallis Simpson
Kind of makes you wonder as to who's pullling the strings in the background...

do you really think if instead of 'prince' harry those pictures were of harry nobody at the local nudist beach anyone would be interested in putting his nude pictures on the front page of a paper?
no matter where he goes and what name he uses, the paparatzi will be there getting 'that' picture of the royal formerly known as 'prince'
even in america, prolly worse over there as they just love anything with 'royal' in its name (i include canada in this)

If they kept to the same rules as we lesser folk, his name would be the same as Prince Philip's and handed down through Charles.
Philip's real surname? Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg

Exactly. But if you want to hide your heritage, as in your example of Prince Philip's German heritage, you change it.
Can't have the British Royalty showing any German heritage, you know. Bad form!
So I still wonder about Harry's heritage, as the rest of the world may do, or not care either way.
Those in the inner circles may know but won't reveal...
really?? he wanted to hide his German heritage?? how odd, it's all over the internet and anywhere you care to look
also Diana's brother Charles Spencer also had red hair

One day he might become the artist formerly known as prince.

Maybe Phillip just changed his surname because nobody could possibly pronounce it lol.

Yes, he will always be called Prince Harry because that is the title he was born with.....nobody can take it away, unlike the Duke of Sussex title which the Queen bestowed on him.....and can take away if she wants to. IMO she should have done that as it would have clipped Meghan's wings but still left Harry with his title.

Before they took this step, and because she came between Harry and William, I always called her Yoko.
Now, she's even more so.

That Harry is not Charles' son?
That rumour's been done to death.
Yes it has. But it persists.
Only by being propagated by people who cannot count, or do not understand that man cannot be a father of a child who was 2 years old at the time he met his mother.
