Re: Protein Drinks

Nothing beats a good natural diet but there are times they are beneficial.

Several years ago I had septacaemia and couldn't eat very much.  I was given sustagen - which I couldn't stand but they replaced that with protein powder that they would sprinkle on the little food I could eat.

I don't eat a lot of red meat but have a hand full of nets most days to get some extra protein.

I'd say fishing nets, then you get the protein from the fish as well. Smiley LOL

Re: Protein Drinks

I have used protein powders for years, especially during training.

Not only for the protein but more importantly for the amino acids which are the building blocks of protein.

There are 9 essential amino acids and they are called essential as they are not produced by the body, needed from dietary intake.

I recommend to all to have a protein powder supplement and a good multi vitamin/minerals at least once a week.

It may just cover any unknown deficiencies.

(Providing there are no medical conditions or restrictions preventing certain supplements)
