Repayed icy? Do you usually spell it that way? Or has your account been hacked?

Has Pyne recovered yet from being in close proximity to violent students?

I am not one to assume 🙂

am3 may be well heeled and perhaps paid for the assumed uni education 🙂

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

It is kind of ironic the word that was picked up on (repaid) for being spelt wrongly Smiley LOL

That's almost worth the 5 laughs award !

Either way, it isn't anyone else's business.Woman Happy Small things do amuse small minds though, I suppose.

Writing repayed in a Uni essay wouldn't go down too well...spell check would correct it  maybe.

Re: Protest at Christopher Pyne Sydney speech turns violent as students pepper sprayed

You are right am3, it should be no concern to anyone, it has no affect on me if a person attended a place of higher education or not.

I have known people with double and triple degrees who were as thick as 2 planks when it came to anything outside of their area of study. I have also known people who progressed no further than secondary school and in spite of that are very knowledgeable in a wide area of original thinking and the application of logic and tactics 🙂

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Re: Protest at Christopher Pyne Sydney speech turns violent as students pepper sprayed

I know quite a few people, including my own children, who didn't get a free uni education, who paid HECS up front, some even paid the HECS debt while living and working overseas.........................

some worked to pay it off faster.

One of mine has 3 degrees and owes no HECS.

I have a degree and don't owe any HECS.

Every situation is different.

Some people can be very academically minded, have double degrees & a PHD but have no commonsense.

Yes, az, statements that are gross generalisations about Uni students are nonsense really.

no, you're right the correct spelling is repaid. Then again, what would I know? I left school at 15. couldn't wait to get a job and earn my own money.

Or has your account been hacked?

maybe it's been Freya'd and she's reported it to New Matilda. Smiley Surprised

Have indeed the poor little diddums students recovered from being in such close proximity to the enforcers of lawful behaviour?

Then again, what would I know - heaps. I just didn't think you make spelling mistakes usually.

Did you watch the video clip icy? I just did, I think the police were a bit rough and over reacted with the spray.. Especially spraying a blind female with a white cane!

Why didn't Pyne's staff or who ever ran the event he was speaking at organise some bouncers/police persons on the outside doors earlier? Prevent entry - no scuffle then.

Surely you are not serious am3.

The rioters took no notice of uniformed police so do you REALLY expect that a civil person or 2 would have had a chance??

Logic, lady, logic
