Has anyone ever used it to make Pesto?
Was it any good? Did you make any adjustments to your recipe?

I find green looks better with red as in bolognese sauce. which is really all I use basil in. Can't do without basil in that particular dish.
Purple would clash IMO.

You might have trouble finding a bay to fit in that pot though.
If you do find one that small, I'd give it a go. But one that small wouldn't
have very many leaves - I use at least 3 in casseroles or bolognese etc
Wouldn't you strip it clean pretty quick?
And how come those pots aren't red? LOL

BTW that yellow flower is a marigold. They are good for keeping
nematodes out of the soil if you grow vegies and stuff.
Marigolds - good
Nematodes - bad

Yes indeed.
One might possibly use a scattering of tiny purple leaves on top of a beautiful Pissaladière.

I tried! Hubby wouldn't let me!
But I bought some red gerbras to put along another spot, and they would have clashed with the red posts, so hubby won - plus those long planter thingies don't come in red and i have visions of having a whole row of them around my entire kitchen - but after a week of taking the first 4 outside for water and sun, I'm already getting a bit over that brain fart
Here is where i want to put the gerbras - where the christmas plants were. and the pic is the right way up in my bucket so FIIK why its upside down there.
