Purple Basil

Has anyone ever used it to make Pesto?

Was it any good? Did you make any adjustments to your recipe?

Noice chilli plant.  Don't prune too hard or you'll just have a stem.   LOL

amber,  garlic is a super food,  really good for your blood, and immune system

Smiley Very Happy

I was thinking the exact same thing.  We recently had to hire a tree lopping stump grinding company to remove the huge mountains of rosemary from out the front.  I still have a small bush in a large pot which I will prune regularly to stop it eating the house.

Yeah

Everyone says that

I have tried, Stawka, really, I have.

Hubby is banned from garlic too. But only at home, because I don't like to cook with it for us, since I can't eat it. He also stopped smoking when we met. Because I didn't, and he just lost the taste for ciggies, because he didn't smoke as much, not to smoke around me. Which was really nice 🙂

For now Stawks, I'll just be stoked if they all stay alive, I'm not going to do anything too drastic like pruning LOL

I got some rasberry plants too, hope they survive

and a heap of veges and things like garlic and ginger for outside garden.

wasn't brave enough to try lemon grass - does it go feral like bamboo?

No personal knowledge of lemon grass.  But this guy says it grows

from a corm,  bamboo grows from runners.

we planted a raspberry, it's gone crazy - have had about a handful of berries so far. Prickly bugger. It's in a large plastic pot (ugly) but it's growing over my raised vege bed around the side of the house. It's gone feral but so have the tomatoe plants the neighbour gave me, they are like tomatoe bushes. Woman LOL

yes, all organic. When Mr Boris finished making the raised bed (it took ages) I had some organic compost that had been sitting around for a bit, so i chucked that on top - the smell was so gross, i felt sorry for the neighbours and they weren't the ones that gave us the toms.:womanlol

i got my raspberry bushes from eBay (I got three cos she said i would need two to produce a punnet a week, so i got a spare one in case I killed one) she reckoned I'd have raspberries in 6 to 8 weeks and the same for my strawberries.
