Azure, you have said on more than one occasion that you think Hockey doesn't look well.  I am watching QandA atm, and agree with you.  He has the pasty look of a cardiac patient, and I would not be surprised if he collapses before the hour is over or soon after.  I know he didn't, of course, but he certainly is not well.

I heard heaps of answers, I even made hubby sit down to listen to the show cause he had had a few questions himself.  He too found it quite informative.

Crystal - if you aren't aware then much of what he said APPEARED to make sense. But unfortunately because of the conditions of his appearance and the fact that he was the only panel member, the misinformarion he was spreading went unchallenged.

For example, he keeps saying that the changes to universities are good. He repeats time and time again (as he did on the show) that university students will not have to pay a single cent up front. It makes it sound as if he is doing uni students a big favour doesn't it? But uni students have NEVER had to pay anything up front.That is the whole point of hecs. But what he failed to point out is that now they will be paying through the nose for a degree and that they will be charged interest on it. 

OR how about the repeated $20billion health research institute. Sounds good cause it is so much money huh? But he isn't actually using that money for research. He is going to wait until we accumulate $20b in the fund. Then the $20b will be invested and the interest from that investment will be used. The INTEREST not the capital. So why keep brandishing the magic figure of $20billion?

Did he say he had to pay up front for his uni fees?

Did you hear what he said about commonwealth scholarships?  They're going to offer them for the first time ever in this country.  Needs to check his history, I think.  He really is a very selfish, mean person.

What did we expect from someone who claims living the life of a north shore real estate agent is "a modest background" and "doing it tough".

He is suing fairfax over The Treasurer for sale stuff, maybe he is stressed, what with ICAC getting closer and closer. Also everyday his lies about the economy are coming out, excess worry is bad for your health.
