Queen guitarist Brian May takes swipe at Marion council's cat curfew proposal
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-02-27/brian-may-swipes-at-marion-council-cat-curfew/12007428
as a cat lover/owner (or owned by)
i see no reason for anyones cat to be out wandering freely.
my neighbours didnt decide to have a cat so why would they want mine in their place?
i see it as, you want a cat in your life, fine,
but keep it in YOUR life.
as in keep it inside your house or if you want it to have access to outside build a big cat house.
rosie has lived her entire life inside
she is happy and healthy.
and i dont worry some nasty cat hater will get her and hurt her.
you just have to put in the effort, cleaning litter trays once a day.

I don't agree with Brian May's comments.
I think it is a great idea. maybe he hasn't experienced cats fighting in your front yard at some unearlthy hour , or having your neighbours cat doing their business in your garden. ect, ect. We have cats but they stay in their own yard and don't wander. good on the council for wanting to take a tougher stand on this , i am hoping a lot of other councils follow suit.
I agree latina it's horrible to be woken hearing cats fighting and you
think it's a baby crying. The squirting on the fly screen is another issue that
irks me.

Same freddie, councils also need to do more about trapping feral cats as well.

Where we lived prior to here we had a feral that sat on the bonnet of the
car and skirted in the air vent. OMG talk about stink *shudder*
on 29-02-2020 02:29 PM
eeeewww! how did you get rid of the smell?

skirted he squirted as well.
I can't really recall I know there was lots of sprays made up
and deodoriser used and pepper placed around the car.

Brian May probably doesn't understand just how damaging feral cats are to our precious wildlife ( that are already struggling due to drought and bushfires).. so to an outsider,, trapping cats may sound cruel
our 2 ex-ferals are under a strict curfew... inside by 6 pm and not allowed out until after 8am... they know the drill and accept the routine... I don't want them killing parrots and possums in the garden
Hi Latina.. I remember your ID from years ago.

Freddie, it would of taken a lot to get rid of the smell.
Hi Deb i don't think he does either Deb.
