I think you may be right.
I'd like to hear the reasons that Labor didn't get in.
I think maybe a couple of factors where if they had pushed harder they might have pulled it off.
Here is a genuine question.
Do you think have a female leader of the Labor party will hinder or help Labor ?
Reason - some men won't vote for a female leader but most women will vote for a male leader,
especially one that they like.
Just a thought.
Labor won't "get in" because they have only 9 members against 73 of LNP.
Way too much ground to make up. Nothing to do with men or women.
But it will be amazing when we learn of the number of seats that Labor has regained.

I don't think there's ever been a 12% swing before has there? I would be suprised if any party could muster a swing that big.... that would be a reason for the Lab party not gettting in, but I think they will come close and pick up quite a few seats
I don't think a female leader of a Labor party would make any difference as the men who won't vote for a woman are usually LNP voters anyway
I don't entirely agree with that. There are sexist men on both sides. It's how many of them were raised and conditioned. The more extreme ones are conservative though. The loony far right hypocrites.

Lots of funny stuff going on it seems......
SCENES at the Gap State School turned ugly on Saturday as volunteers turned against each other.
Members of the controversial Team Australia Supporters Club were evicted from the campus after complaints about their banner stating, ‘Help Stop the Mosque’ was deemed offensive.
Team Australia admin James Darby said his club had every right to be on the grounds.
“I was asked to leave by a member of GetUp because they said our sign was inciting people,” Mr Darby said.

“I then refused and they called the ECQ [Electoral Commission Queensland].”
Mr Darby said he was there to show support for independent candidate for Ashgrove Connie Cicchini but left after she changed one of the preferences in her vote.
“I found Connie’s card had ALP as a higher preference than the LNP,” he said.
“I’d still be there if she hadn’t done that.”
The ECQ refused to comment on the incident.
Elsewhere, the Samford Farmers Hall has been the site of tension this morning, with the voting booth’s supervising officer forced to remove a man displaying an unauthorised sign that was critical against the LNP.
Supervisor Ken Dagley said the man became “heated and argumentative”
when he asked the man to remove a sign from his ute that read: LNP: Lies Nasty Policy.
The ute was parked directly outside the Main St booth.
“There was a complaint the sign was offensive and unauthorised,” Mr Dagley said.
“The sign was not authorised.
