Bought a little Netbook off Dodo for a good price (or so I thought at the time)
It has a cpl of problems:
A. battery is docked and locked but can still only use it if it's connected to the power source.
Says "100% power but not charging."
B. on the QWERTY bar, the U, I, O, P Keys also double for 4,5,6, and asterisk in square brackets. Same goes for J, K, L on the next row.
Where I try to use the Alpha keys I always get the numerical. For instance, where I type Friday, it comes out as Fr5day.
see pic:
Is there a toggle I should be using?

A quick google found this:
How do I enable or disable Number Lock on my Acer Aspire One netbook?
To enable or disable Number Lock on the Aspire One, press and hold the Function (Fn) key and press the F11 key once.
The Number Lock indicator will light up when the Number Lock is enabled and will be unlit whenever the Number Lock is disabled.
Note: With the Number Lock enabled, the number pad on the keyboard will be enabled and the letter keys with blue numbers printed on them will type the numbers instead of the letters.
There is an option to choose a different model.

Ok thanks Am. Will try that tonight when I get home. Will let you know if that's the solution.
Meanwhile I called Dodo who told me to call Acer, which I did but they need the registration number which I don't have with me.

Also, if you can, try removing the battery and putting it back in again. It might just not be locked in right and tight. Unlikely, but it happened to me on a brand new laptop. Wouldn't charge then was fine. The connection was just a bit fiddly, took a couple of tries.

Hey Icy, I have an idea, why don't you try the FN + F11
the fn is the one beside the CTRL key, bottom left.
The F11 key is the one besdide the F10 key, top left.

Thank you Am, that has solved the problem. I appreciate you going to the trouble.
At least that's the main problem sorted.
Now there's the battery thing. After reading the instructions, I saw you had to connect the the unit, with the battery installed, to the power source for the first 12 hours.
Not sure if I did that.
