This is not aimed at anyone in particular. I'm just trying to think of ways to keep all the cs'ers interested and contributing. The thread seems to be moving away from the original purpose of taking the time out to appreciate whats around us everyday.
Should there be a limit on how many photos a person can post? e.g. 10
Should there be limit on how many 'old' pictures can be posted. e.g. 5 pics from disk/album, plus 5 new photos
or 5 'old' photos and unlimited new pics.
I know sometimes it's not possible to get out and take something new for the challenge (although Joz always manages to find something that fits the theme) so postng a "here's one I prepared earlier" pic is the alternative and keeps the thread going. Personally I miss the happy snaps from people that spot something on their way to work, or in their freezer, or garden etc
What do you all think? Any ideas, thoughts, opinions.....
If you don't want to post your opinions here, please message me.
oh, and don't forget to vote today

Some good points made however it can be quite hard trying to find something to fit the themes around me, I live in boring suburbia, like so many of us, this weeks theme I racked my brain trying to think of a building around me to photograph, nothing. I travel the highway to our new property but don't have time to stop, hubby won't stop, he is on a mission to finish the build...Yes I am actually building a house but I won't put that here. Too many photo's, ok, can't seem to please everyone. To many old photo's, ok, will stop that.
Now for my 2 bobs worth, I don;t think they should be greatly altered from what you take, some photo's are over processed.
My guess is that there will be far fewer photo's, less interest perhaps.

One thing the thread has done if nothing else, is that it has made me view nearly everything from a photographic point of view. How good would the thing I am looking at look in a photo.
and just for the record I for one was purely just putting up photo's to fit a theme, not trying to edumacate anyone.

hahaa, I think you're right chuk!
I can't wait until I can start using my computer again, so I can download pics from my camera but at least I can still look at other posters pics.

I, personally, enjoyed this particular challenge immensely--both as a participate and a viewer. And, by the way, all the pictures I posted were new except for the first two which I took a few weeks ago. But I had no problem with old "holiday pics" being posted too because they gave me the chance to see things I previously never would have known even existed or, I did know existed but may never get a chance to see them in person.
I posted where my pictures were taken and what they were of because it made sense to and someone had even requested it be done. I wasn't trying to educate anyone either.
And I do have to wonder why it does make a difference how many photos are submitted from the same person if it's the photo that's supposed to be voted on and not the person. Not that I ever seriously thought it was always merely the photo that was being kudoed. Or NOT kudoed.
Since Americans joining in the challenges was touched upon, maybe it should be clarified whether anyone from outside Australia is even welcome by everyone to particpate in these challenges or not. As has been stated, there's always Poddster's photo thread that we can post to instead.

I agree. Katy's photo of the tiny rural post office was one of these (that one taken just for this weeks challenge, though)

Of course they are welcome. Anyone and everyone is
yes the more the merrier.

I loved seeing the american photos. Everyone is welcome.
The message I get from this thread is, if you have a lot of pictures that fit the theme, spread them out. (I admit I'm guilty of posting in clumps)
Try not to make them too big (guilty again) . If they are slow to load people will scroll past. If they don't fit on the screen without scrolling they lose impact. Some people like to know the photo details, others like to guess, so maybe put a bit of info about your photo in a spoiler box.
How's that sound to everyone?

Anyone is welcome, don't ever think otherwise.
It's more about what is relevant to the original post rather than where you come from.
And don't feel left out even if it seems at times, it may be because many here have known each other for decades as well as having met up personally and socially.
Up and overs always have somthing interesting to say as far as us downunders are concerned.
