This is not aimed at anyone in particular. I'm just trying to think of ways to keep all the cs'ers interested and contributing. The thread seems to be moving away from the original purpose of taking the time out to appreciate whats around us everyday.
Should there be a limit on how many photos a person can post? e.g. 10
Should there be limit on how many 'old' pictures can be posted. e.g. 5 pics from disk/album, plus 5 new photos
or 5 'old' photos and unlimited new pics.
I know sometimes it's not possible to get out and take something new for the challenge (although Joz always manages to find something that fits the theme) so postng a "here's one I prepared earlier" pic is the alternative and keeps the thread going. Personally I miss the happy snaps from people that spot something on their way to work, or in their freezer, or garden etc
What do you all think? Any ideas, thoughts, opinions.....
If you don't want to post your opinions here, please message me.
oh, and don't forget to vote today

Just came in to last minute vote:
I probably put in a maximum of 6 per week, else I could overload and don't want to do that but if everyone wants more or less for each person, I'm easy.
I love the challenges too, really gets the mind working.
I always take photos for the particular challenge that's on because that's what it's all about (to me) but sometimes I do add a couple of older photos too.
It's good to see folk trying to take pictures for each challenge and it's great to see what everyone comes up with.
(one example: I had my dear old mum here when the sparkling challenge was on, She has dementia but loves these challenges. In the sparkling one, she suggested taking her teeth out and me getting the sun just right on them so they would sparkle! that was a definite challenge and failed miserably )
She's here again for a week...lol
I'm happy with whatever the majority wants Pimpy, X

I think we need to get back to the basics of the what the thread was about to start with. Stop and take in whats around which means a limit on the already in the computer photos, although Im as guilty as anyone with that
1 a day also sounds good to me. It is suppose to be a challenge rather than a "look what I took ages ago"
there is already a thread for that

doesnt have to be 6 teeny, just to stop people like me on some themes going on and on and on and on...

Good discussion.
If the majority of photos are to be 'fresh'' ones taken for that weeks challenge, the theme would need to be one that the majority of posters would be able to find something to suit, in their neighbourhood/nearby.
Risk of putting posters of joining in altoghether, having the opposite effect.. not enough photos each week.
I also think having the separate discussion thread is working well (compared to how it got awhile ago).
I like looking at photos from all around Aust and the rest of the world but I can appreciate feeling the need to get back to the aspect of a 'Challenge'.

I think each theme is a little different. This one lends itself to holiday photos of interesting buildings. As lovely as they all are, it gets a little boring when is just house after house after house.
Other themes are a bit more diverse.
Being one of the posters that often posts old pics I obviouly wouldnt like it set to just new stuff. Sometimes its just too hard to get out and get a new pic.
I think the idea of a limit is good, personally I think 2 or 3 is plenty.

feeling a bit paranoid ...last post and that ..
got right into the photo thread the last few weeks
has kept me sane !
plus the themes have suited my surrounds iykwim ...
sorry if i have gone a bit over board ...(if its me )
but if i am going to stand in a bull padock ,or in the middle of the road
and risk limb and life ..
i want to post them
ok only joking ...only got bogged in my gum boots once !
its a hard one ..but posting alot of pics like on the wood thread was good
there were pics i really liked ..and others that other people liked ..
made me go back and look at the pics and think ..what did they like about that pic ,iykwim ..
so next theme you take that into account ..
hard to explain what i mean !
still its the best thread on c.s atm imo!
