Saw nuts in shells in coles but they were mostly almonds, hazelnuts some walnuts and very few pecan nuts, NO brazil nuts.
Bought nuts in shells in woolies today because they had brazil nuts in them too and weren't just all almonds and hazelnuts.

joono,
i just looked at the label and it's the same as yours (bought mine in woolies).
and tried them. they are horrible and old.
the brazil nut was brown and hollow inside, the almond didn't taste like almond but like something eeewww, the walnut was old and the hazelnut old too and made a rattling sound when i shook it while it was still in the shell.
i think i just buy naked nuts again.
never ate such old nuts, they must be from the 90's.

I haven't opened the bag yet. The use by date is end of May next year. I'm sure they will be fine.

Brazil nuts have 100 times the radioactive content than any other foodstuff.
The radioactive content is in the shell mainly.

my name isn't pippy langstockings so i don't need to bother about the shells i guess.

I have 10 Brazil nuts with which I chech the calibration on my Geiger Muller Counter ๐

why don't you eat 100 brazil nuts (including the shells) and then tell us the readings of the different parts of your body compared to the levels in the brazil nuts?

It would be better if they had the date packed date on them. Who knows how long a supermarket thinks nuts stay fresh for.. years by the looks of it.
I bought the worst nuts ever, in shells from WW pre-Christmas about 3 years ago. They were in a round metal tin and most of the lid was clear. Not sure if they country of origin was on the label either.
One of the nuts tasted like petrol. The rest were stale.. I did take them back for a refund.
Never bought nuts in a shell from them again.
