If he was reviled by conservatives while he was in power (which I think is an incorrect statement as he was a conservative himself in most areas of policy) then what is your issue with what Anne Summers said about him.
Because what you have said mirrors her opening statements.
Or is it only appalling when OTHERS say it? Or perhaps you were being respectful to a deceased man but are now parrotng what your right winged radio hosts and bloggers are saying?
Very odd lot of contractictory statements by you idle.

You seem to forget that every western nation 'valed' Mugabe. A good indication of how much he was 'valed' is that the Queen herself bestowed a knighthood on him.
You also seem to forget that Fraser (like other western countries) was critical of Mugabe when he became a despot after his wife died and that Fraser was relentless in his criticism of what was happening in Zimbabwe after this time.

Vale Malcolm Fraser from you friend and handbag Lowitja O'Donoghue. Fraser fell for her line of being part of the stolen generation and constantly promoted her as the poster child for the stolen generation. Later O'Donoghue had to come clean and admit that she was stolen at all.
One deeply traumatic and life-altering event was, of course, being taken from my mother at the age of two, along with my sisters Vi and Amy. My brother Geoffrey and eldest sister Eileen had been taken years earlier โฆ It is now widely admitted that, even by the standards of the time, these actions were contrary to common law and in breach of human rights obligations.
โ Lowitja (Lois) OโDonoghue, 2000
Lowitja OโDonoghue โ the nationโs most honoured Aboriginal leader โ admitted yesterday she had misled Australians by claiming she was a stolen child.
โI donโt like the word โstolenโ and itโs perhaps true that Iโve used the word loosely at times,โ a crying Dr OโDonoghue told the Herald Sun.
โI would see myself as a removed child and not necessarily stolen.โ
Asked whether it would be better to state clearly that she wasnโt a member of the stolen generation, Dr OโDonoghue said: โI am prepared to make that concession.โ
Fraser never apologised for perpetuating the lie.
Some of us can handle the truth while others......well, the truth sometimes is unpleasant.

The "stolen generations" lie and it is a lie, there's not more than 5 or 6 who have any claim to that. Lies perpetrated by the black mafia, they never let the facts get in the way of a good gulit stick, the black armband view, its all been debunked but that will never stop it.
Playing the victim is what these few do best.

The Stolen Generations (also known as Stolen children) were the children of Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent who were removed from their families by the Australian Federal and State government agencies and church missions, under acts of their respective parliaments. The removals occurred in the period between approximately 1909 and 1969, although in some places children were still being taken until the 1970s.
For example, in the 1930s, the Northern Territory Protector of Natives, Dr. Cecil Cook, perceived the continuing rise in numbers of "half-caste" children as a problem. His proposed solution was:
Generally by the fifth and invariably by the sixth generation, all native characteristics of the Australian Aborigine are eradicated. The problem of our half-castes will quickly be eliminated by the complete disappearance of the black race, and the swift submergence of their progeny in the white.
Similarly, the Chief Protector of Aborigines in Western Australia, A. O. Neville, wrote in an article for The West Australian in 1930:
Eliminate in future the full-blood and the white and one common blend will remain. Eliminate the full blood and permit the white admixture and eventually the race will become white.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Every morning our people would crush charcoal and mix that with animal fat and smother that all over us, so that when the police came they could only see black children in the distance. We were told always to be on the alert and, if white people came, to run into the bush or run and stand behind the trees as stiff as a poker, or else hide behind logs or run into culverts and hide. Often the white people - we didn't know who they were - would come into our camps. And if the Aboriginal group was taken unawares, they would stuff us into flour bags and pretend we weren't there. We were told not to sneeze. We knew if we sneezed and they knew that we were in there bundled up, we'd be taken off and away from the area.
There was a disruption of our cycle of life because we were continually scared to be ourselves. During the raids on the camps it was not unusual for people to be shot - shot in the arm or the leg. You can understand the terror that we lived in, the fright - not knowing when someone will come unawares and do whatever they were doing - either disrupting our family life, camp life, or shooting at us.
