RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman

I am over feeling sorry for the Actors that have passed away from doing drugs... they are selfish... they live for the rush with no thought of the harm they are doing to others. He was clean for 20 years, he chose to take the drugs up again. he knew better as most addicts know that the highest risk of death is when an addict that had been clean for so long and then takes the habbit back up.

I am also cheesed off with the people around them that do nothing but take their money and live of their coat tails of success.

Some look up to these people, they see them as representatives and idols. If you are going to take on these roles then you take on these responsibilities.

It goes for athletes and football players as well. Take some of that extraordinary talent and put it into making the right choices.

And before anyone goes on and tells me I have no idea what it is like to be addicted you have no idea. 25 years clean.... I made the choice to improve myself and get my life on track.... these people also had this opportunity, a life in and out of rehab for many goes to show that... not all addicts have that opportunity yet they still get it right.

some, it would appear, choose to swap one life-long chemical dependancy/addiction, for another life-long chemical dependancy/addiction,  just another form of drug addiction, a diffo. crutch to lean on,  oid be thinkin'.

I feel sorry for them, behind the drug taking. the  person may suffer from depression, anxiety etc, their life can be a struggle and they can't always handle it. Even if they are celebs with a well paid acting career.. no one is immune to these things. As celebs there would be more pressure to carry on and cope.

Hoffman recently split from his wife , that may have set him off again or he may have started using  drugs again before that and she ended their relationship.
