After a 3 month battle with bone cancer my dear feisty funny Danny the Chi/terrier was pts this afternoon.
he went down suddenly, one moment he was bouncing around wanting to play and eat, almost the next he went right down, and could hardly move. Today at 3pm he was pts.
My heart is broken but this rendition by the King is one of the sweetest and most moving of all of them I have heard.

Sleep well my darling Danny. You were loved and will be missed.

So sorry about Sparky pollysd, you will be going through what I'm going through.
That lonely journey we have to make one day having given our hearts to our furbabies. Hugs.

always was except when he was stubborn and boofy and I loved that about him.
I look for him everywhere.
I hope Honey will be ok, I'm sorry to hear that.
Thank you everyone for giving me comfort.

I remembered you posting a pic of your three dogs, so I went looking for it and decided the white one had to be Danny, then I went searching for his angel image,
According to the vet about 3 monthsish, however she is quite spry on the injections. 16 1/2 is a good innings though. I am not looking forward to the day.

The thing with 'furbabies' is, they love you unconditionally......
they are greatful for just being with you.....
and they are the most humble of creatures.......
They have no idea, that just by being themselves, by being there, with you, that they have enriched your life more than you can express.

How kind of you to take the trouble. I'm really touched. Danny when first diagnosed was given 4 weeks max but lived for another 3 months so the vets aren't always right. 🙂

Why would you dig up a nine-year-old thread about someone’s loss of a beloved pet?
That’s just reopening old wounds if the poster is still around.
Please - before you post, could you check the date of the thread?
As for this one, I’m sure that a moderator will be along to lock this thread and let it – as well as the loving pet about whom the thread was created – rest in peace.

Why would you do this? I can't think of anything more cruel than forcing someone to relive their pain. Not to mention the others in this 9yo thread that also went through the same pain not long after. This was a low act.
