Wow been some years from my last visit, this place is a devastated landscape ! so sterile !
I was thinking of back in the day and the great laughs we had and thought of the old posters.
Lot of water gone under the bridge, all the hatchets would be well buried by now.
Are there any left ? am I all that's left ? anyway hello to any of the old guard, cheers Yibs !

Hi Kat, you are absolutely right ! the old CW, RTR and RUp days were brutal ! so many casualties ! E-bali always had prisoners there ! it was the badge of honor, I agree the current generation would not have survived, it was guerilla warfare at it's worst no one was safe, enter the threads at your own peril ! LOL .
Having said that there were some hilarious moments, I remember one member getting tanked up every Friday night and posting some gut laughable posts, only to end up in many slaps by the Monday, of course humor has changed now and things we knew to be funny the wokes of today would protest. I wonder if there's any "Nightwols" left ? .. cheers Yibs. 😂

Agreed dom, some times you just feel like hitting someone upside the head with a shovel 😂
You are right though yibs, a sense of humour seems very lacking in people these days, and it is a shame that people take things so seriously.
Don't take life so seriously - it's not permanent!

@icy
I have found a really good site over in UK for identifying items, I will try to hunt it up, I spend ages searching through them sometimes coz they are so interesting.

Hey Kat do you remember on the first board early 2000's ? there was an "ignore" button so you could block any post from members you didn't like, I didn't use it and I don't think many others used it either because they would miss out on parts of the conversation. There would not have been so many suspensions if we did use it. Mods at the time pushed the use of of it ( I suspect to cut down on the amount of complaint emails to the Mods about other members ) that went the way of the dodo ... suspensions abounded ! LOL 😀

That didn't change much when i arrived soon after CW & RT merged, there was a stage I spent more time in ebali then postin' 😆

This back and forth stuff is no big deal, to me anyhow. Either you can handle it or you can't.

I hope that what you said of this "organized" thing will one day be true. Not easy to monitor.

Have you actually owned a forum? I dunno about you but an admin can see which member (or members) made a report. And if they're abusing this function.

I really would like to say more on this but I can't due to what takes place. I will say though that it does happen. I does! I think it's best discussed on another thread. In the interim. For a better idea or rather an insight, refer to icyfroth and chameleon54 posts. They shed a bit of light.
Of course reports still happen, difference being in the old days mass reports got flagged and the system would decide what to do when admins were on holidays (put on auto), when on duty they'd look at the reports & even if they didn't understand the complaints.. still thought it must be offensive due to so many reports, so they'd slap the poster or sanction for them for no just reason.
My insight is rather good, & I prefer to trust my own instincts, cheers.

I couldn't post the stuff in the Old days like I can now, I get a feeling the new management has a handle on what actually goes on and are sensible about it.
